What People
Say About Us

Went through hell prior to the provision of this borehole as we would usually have to travel long distances and queue for a long time in search of potable water but today, it is a thing of the past. Life was very difficult for us prior to the provision of this borehole by LEG and GGF. We used to queue for hours for water from another borehole that is very far from this place. Now, I have easy access to potable drinking water, and I am very grateful to LEG and GGF for this assistance. I no longer must wake up too early in search of water for household chores since this borehole is right at my nose.

Hawa Salam, Kenyase

We had issues with Newmont Ahafo Mines over the lack of potable water in the town. At a point the district assembly and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) had come in and take samples of our water for testing. For some many years of sample testing, nothing happened until LEG came and took the matter to the District Security Committee Asutifi North District (DIESEC). Few weeks later, the Newmont brought us poly tanks which they supply us with a clean source of water every time. LEG has also empowered us to be able to fight for our fundamental human rights from Newmont.

Barikisu Aziz, Tutuka

Even though I had completed my apprenticeship training long ago, I could not set up my own barbering shop and so I was still working under my Master until I met LEG. In the last five years since I encountered LEG, I have on four occasions benefitted from credit facilities which has enabled me to set up my own barbering shop, where I currently operate. I am so grateful to LEG for turning my fortunes around within this short space of time.

Twene Gyan Stephen, Odomase (Sunyani West)

About two years ago, my husband ejected my children and I from our matrimonial house and took over all other properties we had acquired together over time. Through LEG, I was able to pursue the case in court and secure victory. The court ruled that one of our two cocoa farms be given to me while our house is to be sold, and the money be shared among us. Additionally, the court awarded Ghs 83,000.00 as compensation and cost of my court expenses.
