Livelihood & Environment Ghana Leads Effort to Reform Mining Compensation Regulations

Livelihood & Environment Ghana (LEG), with support from STAR-Ghana Foundation, convened a strategic engagement with civil society organizations and media representatives in Accra to review and discuss our draft policy proposal to amend Ghana’s Minerals and Mining (Compensation and Resettlement) Regulations, 2012 (L.I. 2175).

The meeting provided space for critical reflections, shared experiences, and collective input aimed at strengthening the legal framework for mining-affected communities.

We thank all participants for their active contributions and commitment to justice and equity in Ghana’s mining sector
